Overview
Pathfinder helps small groups plan trips together without a dozen chat threads and a spreadsheet. Everyone drops ideas; the app shapes them into a plan.
The challenge
Group planning is messy. The hard part was not features — it was reducing them, so the app felt calm instead of like another inbox.
Approach
- A single shared timeline as the home surface
- Lightweight voting instead of endless comment threads
- Offline-first, because travelers lose signal exactly when they need the plan
Outcome
Test groups planned a weekend trip in a single sitting, with noticeably fewer “wait, what did we decide?” moments.
